It is with great sadness that the Pinnacle Club Secretariat announces the passing of Founding Patron General Fidel V. Ramos (Ret'd) on July 31, 2022. On behalf of the entire Pinnacle Club, we offer our deepest condolences to his family, the members of the Philippines Chapter of the Pinnacle Club, and the Filipino people.

General Ramos had a distinguished career of service to his country, serving as Chief of Staff of the Philippines Armed Forces (1986-1988), Secretary of National Defense (1988-1991), and ultimately as the 12th President of the Philippines (1992-1998). He left a legacy of exemplary leadership and selfless dedication.

The Pinnacle Club is deeply honored and privileged to have worked with General Ramos, who was a strong supporter of the Club's formation in 2015. His vision of a club for retired military chiefs from the ASEAN region, fostering camaraderie and personal friendships forged during their service, was both profound and far-sighted. We will always remember General Ramos as a highly accomplished military and political leader who commanded respect through his intellect, charisma, and indomitable sense of humor.

General Ramos will be greatly missed by all of us at the Pinnacle Club of ASEAN.
