Pinnacle Club of ASEAN Has Again Held Its Annual Meeting In Hanoi, Vietnam

The Pinnacle Club of ASEAN, comprised of former defense and security leaders, held its 2023 annual meeting in Hanoi, focusing on regional cooperation and humanitarian aid.

The Pinnacle Club of ASEAN, a distinguished group of former military and security leaders from across Southeast Asia, recently concluded its annual meeting in Hanoi, Vietnam (August 16-19, 2023). After a three-year hiatus due to the pandemic, the meeting marked a renewed commitment to fostering friendship and cooperation among ASEAN nations.

This year's gathering, hosted by the Veterans Association of Vietnam, focused on sharing best practices in areas like disaster relief and humanitarian assistance. Presentations from Vietnam, the Temasek Foundation of Singapore, and the Philippines highlighted successful strategies for addressing regional challenges. A key moment was the Pinnacle Club's donation of 100 million VND to the Vietnam Friendship Village, a testament to the organization's commitment to social welfare.

Beyond the formal discussions, members enjoyed cultural experiences, including a visit to Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum, the Vietnam War Museum, and a traditional Water Puppet Show. The event concluded with a farewell dinner and exchange of mementos, solidifying the bonds between the participating nations. The Pinnacle Club was founded in 2014, and holds these events to foster relationships between ASEAN countries, refraining from engaging with members' domestic politics.
