Pinnacle Club Secretariat’s Trip to Hanoi, 21 to 23 June 2023

The Pinnacle Club Secretariat visited Hanoi, Vietnam, from 19 to 23 June 2023. During the trip, the Pinnacle Club Secretariat had the privilege to call on COL GEN Be Xuan Truong, President of the Veterans Association of Vietnam, on 22 June 2023 at the Veterans Association of Vietnam office. At the courtesy call, MG (Ret’d) Goh Yong Siang thanked the Veterans Association of Vietnam for graciously agreeing to co-host the upcoming Pinnacle Club event in Hanoi from 16 to 19 August 2023. MG (Ret’d) Goh exchanged views with COL GEN Truong on the future development of Pinnacle Club. At the invitation of COL GEN Truong, the Pinnacle Club Secretariat visited the Vietnam Friendship Village in Hoai Duc District of Hanoi. The Vietnam Friendship Village is one of the social enterprises run by the Veterans Association of Vietnam, providing medical care and vocational training for veterans and veterans’ children affected by Agent Orange and Dioxin.

The Pinnacle Club Secretariat hosted COL GEN Be Xuan Truong and his staff to dinner on 22 June 2023. Also present at the dinner were old friends of the Pinnacle Club, COL GEN Nguyen Huy Hieu and LG Nguyen Dinh Chien. COL GEN Hieu and LG Chien were instrumental in the setting up of the Pinnacle Club Vietnam Chapter in 2019. MG (Ret’d) Goh Yong Siang, COL (Ret’d) Goh Kong Yong and Ms Vera Tan Hui Xin from the Pinnacle Club Secretariat were present at the meetings in Hanoi.

The Veterans Association of Vietnam and the Pinnacle Club Secretariat look forward to welcome members from the various Pinnacle Club Chapters to attend the Pinnacle Club event in Hanoi from 16 to 19 August 2023.
